The Light Spring Palette

Light Spring sets its three dials plainly: undertone warm, depth light, chroma bright. The colours are pale, but they are clear rather than greyed — lightness here comes from lifting a colour, not from dulling it. Gold is the conventional metal match for the warm undertone.

The palette

The verified names: peach, coral and light coral; cream and ivory; mint, mint green and aqua. Read as a group, they split cleanly in two. On one side sits the peach-and-coral family with its near-neutral partners, cream and ivory. On the other, a fresher green-blue run where mint and mint green shade into aqua. Two names arrive in pairs — coral with light coral, mint with mint green — near-twins that the list keeps separate rather than merging.

Conventionally avoided

• Black, dark browns and dark heavy colours — all sit at the deep end of the value axis, an end this light season never visits.
• Burgundy — deep where the season is light, so the depth mismatch does the damage on its own.
• Dusty muted shades — greyed chroma set against a bright-chroma season.

Where it borders others

Most of what suits Light Spring also suits its neighbouring seasons; borders in colour analysis are drawn through gradients, not walls. The finder shows its point spread so that a near-border result reads as what it is — near the border, and nothing more dramatic than that.
